A little bit of tough love
I've been getting a lot of comments from people who are using their friends and family as an excuse for not following their dreams or pursuing their goals.
This is a HUGE mistake. And one that has the potential to haunt you for the rest of your life.
This is because if you rely on other peoples approval - even those who love you and who you care about most - you will always be a slave to THEIR emotions and what they think, feel, and believe about you and your potential
...and their belief about YOUR potential is almost always just a reflection of what THEY think, feel, and believe about themselves and their own potential (which for 99% of the population is extremely limited)
Plus - and this may, or may not apply to you so proceed with caution - of course your friends and family don't believe in you. You have no track record of success. You start late and end early. You whine, complain, and make excuses. You don't finish what you start. You talk the talk but don't walk the walk.
This is why they want you to be "safe", lower your expectations, fit in, conform, and do what everyone else is doing.
But as you already know that is not the way to live an exceptional life.
The only solution then is to drastically change your actions. Prove them wrong. Say what you're going to do and then do it.
Get up. Go. Take "MIA" (Massive Imperfect Action)
This is YOUR life. Nobody is coming to save you.
You got this.
