1. Zero, I don't have my business set up yet and have been busy working on this project as well as my regular job. I plan to reach out to current families I work with and let my colleagues know to help with referrals. 2. Facebook groups, YouTube, IG
I did find a searchable audience for early childhood education and kindergarten readiness. Reddit has several communities talking about the topic, including one called Kindergarten. Answer the Public came back with a good number of hits. Amazon books on the subject were mostly workbooks, with very few how-to books. YouTube has a lot of short videos regarding specific skill development, such as scissors skills, prewriting skills, etc. I was not able to get on Google ads, but searching on Google had millions of results for kindergarten readiness.
I found that Susie Allison of "Busy Toddler" appears to be the current person of preeminence in the niche of toddler learning/ activities/ kindergarten readiness. She has 2M followers on IG. She has a book, a website, newsletter, large IG, facebook, and Pinterest followings. NAEYC is a popular non-profit resource across multiple platforms that has four paid membership categories providing access to blogs, articles, books, online networking, and early childhood education advocacy. I also looked at accounts called "Kindergarten Readiness" and "The Preschool Toolbox" both on IG. Both give away free activities and are selling subscriptions or activity plans. Nekole Amber on YouTube is a pediatric OT who is also a parenting mentor with 202K subscribers.
Laura, thirty-five year old married woman with two kids under 5 years old. She lives in a suburb of Chicago and is a full-time mom. Her husband makes $200K, and she compares herself to other moms online and is self-deprecating about her parenting in online posts. She spends time on facebook , Instagram, and Pinterest looking at parenting and kid stuff, but also cooking inspiration. She posts about her kids accomplishments regularly, and about gifts from her husband occasionally. She buys emotionally. Offline she spends her time running her kids to preschool and a variety of enrichment classes.
