How I booked out my show and received 22 guest invitations
@Jamie Atkinson suggested I share how I made this happen so here’s what I did …. TO BOOK GUESTS FOR FTBY I did the following things to book out my show for the whole of the year including a waitlist for the first season I’m planning for 2024: 1️⃣ I showed up! - I have been building real relationships with members of this community and two others on FB by genuinely helping people and engaging with value driven replies. Being INTERESTED rather than just INTERESTING doesn’t go unnoticed. 2️⃣ I was clear in my requests - I put thought into what type of guests I want, who my audience what topics would resonate with them. Then I crafted a post which clearly articulated those things and share it with my request for guests. 3️⃣ I replied to everyone! - I didn’t ignore anyone who showed interest. I didn’t accept them all but I showed appreciation for their comments. For some people I let know that they weren’t a fit for me but I would recommend them to others (like you guys!) if I thought they would be. Some people I have had a 20mins pre interview chat with and some I just booked straight up. 4️⃣ I created a guest application form - I created a simple document using Google forms (FREE!) so that when I accepted a guest they could provide me with the things I need to plan my show with them. Things like: - their bio - their headshots - their social links - their website and any offered they want to pitch - their audio set up so I know we will get great sound quality 5️⃣ I kept an eye on other posts - sometimes I come across people wanting to be a guest and I will invite them to apply OR I see people commenting on others posts and get involved in the conversation so I can invite them to mine. TO GET BOOKED AS A GUEST Many of the things I did to get guests on my show, I also did to get booked. These few differences have me being booked quickly. I’ve booked 20 guests spots in the last 10 days with the speaker doc attached below ⬇️ and doing these things:
