I think one of the most important things you can do to move up in this world is to surround yourselves with people that are better than you and to be in rooms you may feel unqualified to be in. That being said, I do believe that you should bring value into those room though, whatever it may be. Your value will get you invited back into those studio sessions/co-writes/collabs/etc. Think about what you bring to the table. It could be as simple as your charisma. One thing I bring into rooms that brings me credibility is my networking events that I host with a lot of well-known Music Industry Pros. I'm a bridge for creatives trying get a start in the music business to people that have been killing it in the business for years. That's the value that so many people will get from this group is access to connections and relationships I've developed being behind the scenes in the business now for a few years. What value can you bring into any room that you may find yourself in?
