Amanda is a 30 year old married woman with 2 children. She owns a pediatric therapy practice and has at least 2 therapists working for her, but she puts their needs and income above hers. She's netting <$100K/year, and she's working >60 hours a week, still seeing clients and trying to manage the business after hours. She is a no-frills kind of gal, buying her clothes at Walmart, TJ Maxx, Target, and Ross. Her wardrobe emphasizes function and comfort over style. She spends time in the evenings scrolling IG and FB to see what other peds practices are doing and looking for tx ideas, and on the weekends she gets outside when she takes her kids to their games. She wishes she had the time to go for leisurely walks outdoors, to read for pleasure, and she longs to take a vacation somewhere warm to get out of the cold east Tenessee mountains. But she's afraid to leave the practice in the hands of her employees. She invests in CE courses to further her clinical skills. She knows she needs to invest in learning to be a better business owner and CEO, but she's not sure where to start. She feels alone and desperately wants a community who will understand what she's going through. She's starting to resent the amount of time and energy it takes to run her practice, but she loves the service she is providing for her community. She wants to feel confident in how she is managing her practice and the decisions she's making. She wants to know how to say what needs to be said to her team and families to enforce boundaries while still fostering strong team culture and serving her community well.
