Introduce Yourself! (Start Here 🔥)
Welcome to our community of Junior Developers on the job hunt! This community helps junior devs accelerate their job hunting process by equipping them with tools and systems to ensure they can get their new software engineering career started! Step 1: Introduce yourself below! (Here's a template you can use to introduce yourself 👇) 1.) What bootcamp or university did you just graduate from? 2.) Where are you from? 3.) Do you have a particular tech stack/framework or tool you want to use at the job yet get? Step 2: Discover How to Unlock all the Classroom Resources _______________ Best practices in this community: - Be Kind: hunting for your first developer is emotionally and mentally one of the toughest things you'll ever do, let's lift each other up and make some lifelong friends in the process! - Stay Positive: The one thing you can control in the job search is your outlook! - Ask the Right Questions: Your brain will find the answers to the questions you ask so it's important that you ask the right questions. Example: What can I do to impress this employer to respond to me? vs Why isn't this employer responding to me?

Hi, I’m Josh and I’m a full-stack web developer. I graduated from UIUC with majors in statistics and psychology with a minor in philosophy, and right out of college I started working at Epic as a technical solutions engineer. Although I found my work meaningful, it ultimately wasn’t the best fit for me, so I decided to make the decision to move back to California and take an online coding bootcamp while tutoring part time. In the bootcamp I became an expert with HTML, CSS, Javascript and Python, with which I respectively used to build the frontend and backend of my projects. My most recent project is a website where music artists can create their own profile page, which will look and function exactly as a personal website would. Aside from building my website, I am currently on the job search while studying more programming languages and dabbling in tangential subjects such as UI/UX and machine learning to broaden my background. Nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you better!

I'm currently more interested in the frontend route, but I'm open to anything web dev! I know that Python is currently extremely versatile in how it's used, especially with the AI industry growing at the pace it is, so I would also be very open to anything Python related.
Junior Backend Engineer Role
@Joshua Ho Thanks for intro'ing yourself, based on the tech stack you use/prefer, this would be a good one: https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=32774995a8d0995c&tk=1hos4sko3lnhc801&from=jaf&alid=64b94ab80ca67611b2cc8665&xpse=SoDT67I3Deg0XvQd1p0LbzkdCdPP&utm_campaign=job_alerts&utm_medium=email&utm_source=jobseeker_emails&rgtk=1hos4sko3lnhc801&xkcb=SoDY67M3DcB7t3WNQZ0LbzkdCdPP It's listed on Indeed, but not on LinkedIn, so unsure if it's been filled, but I'd reach out knowing it's an organization that hires juniors as they have a React Junior Dev position as well. Bonus if you play pickleball that you can work on software related to building the sport! Here's their CEO's linkedin, I would email him as well once you apply! And follow up weekly until you hear from him! https://www.linkedin.com/in/gilberto-tito-machado-19004670/
