I want to share an experience I had last night. I hadn't actually activated reiki but had a thought of should I do some reiki to go to sleep. I had my hands settled on my midriff and felt energy which I can only describe as being the shape of a flying saucer🙈 it was such a feeling of stillness and deep peace. I know it was reiki as my hands and legs where buzzing the metatarsals in my feet painful and roots coming from my feet pulled hard. The shape seemed to fill up the internalspace going further towards my spine. If I read this I would think the person was on another planet..I can't explain it no idea what or why it happened but it was real...any ideas ?

I wanted to have something a bit different. Not new agey or super spiritual but which is bold and suggests possibilites and new vistas. What do you think?

Hello everyone! Hope this goes into the self practice section as intended. I thought I best put it in that section as I am working through Reiki 1 and have only got up to self practice so far. I usually do a treatment on myself every morning when I wake up but missed a few days due to being too busy. This morning I woke up with very tingly hands that were almost stinging! They usually tingle when I start a treatment on myself but I hadn't even thought of it yet. I did a full treatment on myself and it eventually stopped. Does this happen to anyone else? What does it mean? For example does it indicate you need to do a treatment? Would it go away if I didn't have time? Thank you

Justin, thank you for your posts. As you clear up some of my misconceptions, additional questions arise. I know that meridians and chakras are different but I've been reading to gather more details. If what I'm reading is correct, meridians are channels that lead to organs and chakras are nerve system convergence points on meridians. Therefore, they are very different but work together, systematically. Is that correct?? Zhong Qi is meridian focused while Reiki and Qi Gong, though different disciplines, are chakra focused?? Thank you for the ongoing education.
