RARE VIDEO: Mental Training "Changed My Life" (Leon Marchand in 2020)
Found this amazing video while I was researching some key parts to build the new MindGym 2.0 - MUST WATCH!! The brand new MindGym 2.0 is coming in a few days... Still putting the final touches on it 🧰 πŸš€ IMPORTANT UPDATE πŸš€ We're now 30 swimmers in the MindGym PRO (it's the paid version of the MindGym FREE) and as I said, prices are going up. If you want to lock in the $97/mo or $697/yr then apply here as soon as possible: https://calendly.com/davidkarasek87/mindgym-pro-update You have until December 2nd, after that it'll be $125/mo and $999/yr. Last chance. If you're on the fence, you have a 14-day 100% money-back guarantee. If the MindGym PRO isn't the best thing since paddles and fins, you get all your money back. Seems fair? Let's do this!!! If mental training was good enough for Leon Marchand, it'll be good enough for you too.

Time out of the pool
Hi everyone I am writing this post because recently my pool has been closed because of something wrong with the lighting and a gala was cancelled on Sunday sadly because of it. Thankfully we got to train yesterday at a different pool but our pool might not open till next week and they arent running any sessions this week and thats not good coming up to Counties. My dad said we could go training at a pool near us but I wont be able to do the amount of hours I normally do so does anyone have any drills I could do at home that will help when I get back into the pool.

@Zihan Wang that's too broad of a question. let us know what specifically you're struggling with

@Zihan Wang then try to swim the first 100 easy next time. what's your PB in the 100 fly? I'll give you the target time for the 400IM afterwards
New PBs and trusting the process
I've always struggled short course not being a very powerful swimmer - a big problem when most top breaststrokers spend almost half the race underwater! Last weekend I had a great time racing in Sheffield and managed to set 3 PBs. 50 BR - 31.10 --> 30.52 (finally faster than my long course πŸ˜‚) 100 BR - 1:07.79 --> 1:06.53 200 BR - 2:28.33 --> 2:27.20 I even managed to sneak under 30 seconds on my relay split (29.98) which was awesome. The 200 needs some big improvements still but it's getting there. Short course season is never a focus, but it's been a good chance for me to work on my weaknesses like turns etc. and hopefully this will carry into long course improvements. I think what worked best was my mentality approaching races. I may have missed national qualifying times by tiny margins in each race, but I still approached the next race with the same confidence that I was improving. In short, trust the process, if you work smart you will succeed eventually.

so for breaststroke specifically, do you count your strokes in training? I can give you some cool drills and stuff that'll get you farther with every stroke OR if you use the same amount of strokes you'll be faster

@Lewis Dawson push off the wall and double pull outs. Try to get to 25m or as far as you can. easy to measure and you should get farther every week. it forces you to do things differently and everything has to be perfect to get a new PR
πŸ‘€Sneak Peak at the MindGym 2.0
I'm putting into action the lessons I've learned along the way of running the MindGym (FREE) for the last 4 months. Wanted to give you a quick look at what the new Classroom is going to look like. What do y'all think??
