That’s so funny cause I was so similar!!! Because I was so shy (etc..) I would end up not having a good time and would periodically stopping dance when I was a kid. But for me there was just always something about it and performing that I loved and always wanted to go back to! So I would, but would always struggle throughout the year, but have a blast dancing on stage despite my shyness. A while later I ended up at a different studio, and much growth later I found myself suddenly (like a couple months before auditioning I was like “I guess I’ll try”) on a competitive team, and now dancing is literally everything haha! Crazy how much you can change!

I love that! This sounds like a great discussion. And idk if this is counter intuitive but something I always have trouble with is finding out how my personality translates to dance. So the things I do, what I like don’t like etc… like there’s a whole person there but it gets… idk kerfuffle (?lol). It’s a deferent direction than but I feel it relates. How ‘dance you’ is ‘non dance you’ and vide versa.
