🚨 Did you make these vital About Page changes? ⏰
Tick tock, it's that time again. New month, new About Page. The About Page is our storefront window display. When it holds outdated elements, visitors will question our attention to detail in-store. Or worse, they might feel confused. Confusion is the arch enemy of sales. Here's your checklist to rule out harmful mistakes across your copy, images, VSL and also group bio (aka mini bio, aka Discovery bio) to keep your storefront display cutting edge. ⏰ PRICE Does your attempt to create urgency with an end-of-November price hike now look SO last month? Switch the mentioned month, plus the monthly and maybe annual pricing. Does your stated price in the copy, or even the VSL, match what people actually see when they go to hit JOIN GROUP? Again, check annual too. Does your About Page offer a free trial that's no longer available? Is it still the Black Friday weekend? If not, you know what to tweak. Side note: I recommend to clients that they also include the month alongside the year - e.g. "Lock in this crazy founder's price before it doubles 31 December 2024" - to reassure visitors that their group remains a going concern. Copywriting powerhouse @Patrice Moore has had the genius idea of literally publishing a new VSL on a daily basis! ⏰ PROOF Did you score new wins in November? Maybe you’ve now coached four Skool Games winners instead of three. Update accordingly. ⏰ PLAN Is the date when your new limited-space cohort begins still in the future? ⏰ BONUSES If November-only bonuses form part of your offer, it’s time to either remove, change or extend them (due to “popular demand”, obviously). 🎅 CHRISTMAS Might any kind of festive slant and/or special offer generate good cheer and higher conversions on your Page? How about a solid reason for visitors to join before 2025? 📢 How many changes did you need to made on your Page? And did I miss anything that needs updating on an About Page? 👇 P.S. Panicking, because you say "November" in your VSL? For a quick fix, hop back into the edit, plaster B-roll over yourself and lay down a voiceover for that one part. Or just re-shoot. We all need to resign ourselves to multiple VSL shoots over time.
