Chatting with my Husband
So My husband comes home and tells me about his job all the time. I rarely talk about my business. So when he told me what he did today I decided to tell him what I did. Husband - Roofing, roofing and more roofing. Me - Well You want to know what I did today? (Without even letting him answer) I set up an opt in form for my strategic freebie and then created a 6 email welcome series. Husband - Yeah I have no idea what that means. Do any of you have conversations like these?

Are you doing it all wrong? Let’s find out!
I just posted this to my Instagram account but wanted to post in here as well because I think it is good to always review your branding. 🧐 #1 Does your business have core values? Core values are the heart of your business. They guide your decisions, shape your culture, and show your customers what you stand for. Without them, your business can feel directionless and inconsistent. 🎨 #2 Do you have a consistent style to your business? Consistency is key! Your brand's style—from your logo and colors to your voice and messaging—needs to be cohesive. It builds recognition and trust. Think of your favorite brands; they’re instantly recognizable, right? That’s the power of a consistent style. 🌍 #3 Do you have a mission that is greater than you? What drives your business? A mission gives your business purpose beyond just making money. It inspires you, your team, and your customers. Whether it’s improving lives, making the world a better place, or simply bringing joy, a strong mission is essential. 💡 #4 Are you being authentic? Authenticity resonates with people. Being genuine and transparent builds trust and loyalty. Don’t just follow trends for the sake of it; stay true to your values and your audience will appreciate it. ⚠️ If you answered no to any of these questions, don’t worry! It’s a chance to take action and strengthen your brand. Think of your brand like a tree. 🌳 Without strong roots (core values) and a solid trunk (consistency), it can’t grow tall and sturdy. Your mission and authenticity are the branches and leaves that reach out and connect with people. Let’s make sure you’re not doing it all wrong. Take a moment to reflect on these questions and see where you can improve. Remember, it’s never too late to make a change and elevate your business! 💪✨ Drop a comment below if you need help with any of these or just want to share your thoughts. Let’s build stronger brands together! 💬👇

Establishing a strong foundation for your brand is an imperative step that a lot of new business owners skim over (I've been guilty myself!). This post is a good reminder that core values come first!
Hello I am Heather.
Hello everyone! My name is Heather, and my entrepreneurial journey started when I was a senior in high school more than 20 years ago. (Damn, I feel old when I say that sometimes! 😅) I loved photography and was asked to photograph 📸 a wedding. That was the first moment I realized that even though I was just starting out, people would still pay me for my services. I spent years dabbling with my business and learning skills, always working a "real job" to support myself. I even experimented with MLM along the way. In 2009, I became a mom for the first time. A single mother at that. Then in 2014, I was fired from a job and decided to use that opportunity to really give my photography business a go. I pushed myself a lot. I started dating my now husband. (my cupcake🧁) My son and I moved in with him and my now stepdaughter. He gave me the emotional support I needed to keep pushing my business, and within a year, I was one of the top photographers in the area. My kids came to work with me often, and I had the flexibility to be there for them. And just when you think things are going great... enter cancer. 🏥 I battled cancer for a couple of years. I could no longer run a profitable photography business. I spent time just recovering from... well... almost dying multiple times. Then I decided it was time to figure out who I was post-cancer (but still with all the side effects). I started my hobby business, my little food trailer. 🥤 But then I started my passion business, Learn Business U. I am excited to build my new business and this community where I can help you all grow as well. We can help each other together. 💪✨
