I definitely will be returning back home to reconnect with my family and also there so much opportunities in the educational system which I intend to explore but also lots of areas that needs improvement. My plan is to use the skills I would have learnt to improve the standard of education in my community especially in the areas of curriculum design, effective teaching methods and infusing technology in teaching and learning. My ultimate goal is to recommend these problems to the Edo State Ministry of Education and see how we can work together to provide the best solutions to these problems and come with positive outcomes which will not only benefit the students but also help the teachers to be more effective in the class room. Finally, I have a girl friend and we are looking forward to getting married as soon as I am done with my program.

I am particularly drawn to this course because it provides the necessary educational programmes to excel as a teacher which is what I do. Getting an advance degree in Educational curriculum and instruction will help me with an advance understanding and the requisite skills in designing well thought out curriculum that can meet the learning needs of students in my community and also equip me with variety of pedagogical skills that can help me teach and assess my students in my local community achieving the desired learning outcomes.

I have been a class room teacher for 10 years now and I have encountered so many challenges on identifying the ideal instructional material and pedagogical methods that suit diverse learners in my community. The curriculum we use here are somewhat outdated and a lot of research is going on in the educational system especially in curriculum design and educational technology which I will like to explore as a teacher especially in my home community where technological education is a growing idea. So studying this programme at an advance level will make me more effective in the class room, assessing my learners and tailoring my instruction towards the learning needs of my students and using current technological tools to make learning fun in the class room.
