How To Create A Prompt For ChatGPT (with example)
When creating a prompt for using ChatGPT, follow these basic guidelines: Guidelines 1. Define the Objective: Clearly state the goal of the prompt. 2. Specify Requirements: Explicitly mention what you need. 3. Be Clear and Concise: Use straightforward and precise language. 4. Provide Examples: Include relevant examples to illustrate your point. 5. Include Constraints: Mention any limitations or specific conditions. Example Prompt "You are a social media expert at creating engaging content. Create a social media post for my Facebook group that promotes [INSERT PRODUCT]. The benefits of my product are [INSERT 1], [INSERT 2], [INSERT 3]. Ensure the post is no more than 150 words, includes an engaging call to action to click on the link, and does not include hashtags." Tips - Provide Detailed Input: The more you explain about your product, the better the output will be. Avoid being too general. - Revise as Needed: You will likely need to revise a few times. This above is your main prompt, then you list revisions. - Standardize Successful Formats: Once you find a post format you like, inform the AI that this is the format you want for future posts.

Hi everyone! I'm Peyton Henderson and I'm a content marketing strategist! I've been blogging for years and grew my blog to approx. 500,000 readers per year (that's about 50k per month). I'm looking to connect with other people who love to learn and create epic content! If you have any questions about blogging, I'm an open book and would love to help!
How To Create A Blog Post
1. Create A Blog Outline A blog outline prevents writer’s block, saves you time, helps you get better search engine rankings, and you can outsource your work. I use post-it notes to write down my thoughts. I write down one thought per post-it and arrange them until they make sense. 2. Understand Your Audience Who are you talking to? When will you talk to them? How will you reach them (blog post, social media post, email)? What social media platforms are they active on (IG, X, Facebook)? When are they active online? What are their problems and challenges? 3. Perform Keyword Research On Your Topic What is relevant to you, may not be relevant to your ideal audience. Use Google (FREE option), ahrefs, or MarketMuse for keyword research. To use Google, type in your keyword or phrase and look at the top 10 search results. Get a feel for the main points and subtopic headings (H1, H2, H3 headings) that these blogs use, and take note of the length of the blog. This is something the algorithm leans heavily on. Keyword research can also help you determine a title. 4. Identify Your Goals Identify what you want to accomplish with your blog post. What is your main goal? What is the purpose of your blog? To inform? A purchase? 5.Organize Ideas + Research Brain dump everything you know about this topic. This is where you want to put all of your keyword and SEO research together and start forming your blog outline. You can do this any way you like. I create a Google doc and use Post-it notes to organize my most important pieces of information -- I know this may sound weird but it works! 6.Put It Together & Get Writing! If you are tired of writing blogs or don’t love writing, send out your outline so someone can write it for you. That's the beauty of creating a blog outline! 7.Publish & Promote! Why spend all of that time creating content if you don't get anyone to see it? This is where you create a marketing plan. You could send out emails, use social media, run ads, or go live and talk about it.
