PBs
We just recently came across David and the Mind Gym but have been eager to learn and put into place some new strategies to help our daughter grow. Today she finally broke through a new threshold and got quite a few PBs by a little bit of time. I haven’t seen her glow at a meet like today in awhile! Looking forward to continuing to grow alongside her! 😊

It’s so good to see when this happens and all their hard work and effort is paying off. Well done 👏

Congrats to Maria!! She's had a couple 1-1 sessions with me but doing EXACTLY what I'm teaching you in the MindGym. Crazy thing is that she hasn't PB'ed for 2 years. Used to be super fast when she was young... Then plateaued for 2 years. Now finally the breakthrough. Got any new PB's or wins? Or lessons? Post them so others can see what's working and what's not working.

Stop Blaming Circumstances: The Truth About Swimming Fast
Effort? A choice. Positive mindset? A choice. Showing up early? A choice. Doing daily visualization? A choice. Cheering for teammates? A choice. Putting gear away? A choice. Go to bed early? A choice. Doing that little bit extra? Another choice. Fast swimming isn’t luck, talent, or magic. It’s the result of the sum of your choices. So, what's ONE choice you've been wanting to make for a long time but haven't? Let everyone know in the comments and do it starting right NOW!! 👇

For us it’s trying to get enough sleep, improving nutrition and of course reducing screen time.
Injury
My daughter has had time off due to an ankle injury. Anyone got any advice on how to get back into training as she’s got a meet coming up and wants to drop her PB’s? Thanks

Great advice thank you both. She is doing ankle excercises and lots of pull in the pool…it’s also the mental side of an injury.

***UPDATE: This only concerns members at Level 1 - Lurker*** I’d absolutely HATE to remove you from the MindGym FREE group. You’re here because you deserve access to a proven way to overcome pre-race anxiety—a way that’s helped swimmers from Olympic champions to age-groupers. But let’s be real about why you’re here… - School hasn’t taught it. - Swim coaches can’t focus on it with their packed schedules and big groups - And as parents, you want to help, but sometimes the best intentions add to the pressure. Pre-race anxiety isn’t about swimming “tougher.” It’s about mastering the mind. Science backs what we’re teaching here, and I’ve seen it work 100's of times over. So, the question isn’t if the MindGym works. The question is: 🚨 Are you willing to do the work? Is the pain of watching yourself underperform when it matters most greater than the discomfort of making a change? Starting in November, we’re clearing out members who aren’t engaging. I don’t want the biggest group—I want the most successful, happy, and committed swimmers and parents. If you’re ready to make MindGym your game-changer, here are 6 ideas: 1. Check your DMs and text me back 2. Introduce yourself in the START HERE post 3. Grab the 30-Day Improvement Plan 4. Register for the next Live Training: "The Ultimate Pre-Race Checklist for Nationals" 5. Comment on posts to support and connect with other members 6. Use the tools in the Classroom and share what’s working (or what isn’t) Don’t make me remove you from the community. Get active, and I promise you'll even surprise yourself with the results that come from consistent action. PS: If you get to Level 5 - National Swimmer like @Luiza Koziol, you get a free 1-1 coaching session with me.

@Eva Hanu my daughter is training approx 10hrs in the pool and 2 gym sessions she is 16 and loves it although some weeks she does get tired and she pulls back when this happens. It’s difficult getting a balance between swimming, college work and life!
