Where are you from? Live in Bristol, born in UK but lived in Germany, Malaya and Singapore. Ex corporate who has made the transition to being a solo preneur What are you working on? The 'right' info to get someone to take action...
Hello folks! I'm speaking at an event next week, and thought it useful to share my thinking here: My approach: You give a talk / create content. People get a feel for you, tune into what you're saying, and stick with you till the end πŸ™Œ There's always a purpose. Define the end purpose. I want them to know: β†’ that this community exists. β†’ that I can help them if they want to action being the 'go-to' provider in their sector. Here's my approach: 1. Minimise distraction/ too much info at the point they make a decision. eg in my case, when they're on my website. 2.I am breaking my rule of ONE call to action for now.. this might change closer to the event: I have to call to action: 1. to join the community 2. to book a discovery call with me. You can see what I went with here: www.Finding-Nima.com Not beautiful, but it's 'done' and will be beautified later :) What's your approach? This way of thinking applies when you do what I'm doing here, when you're speaking on stage, at a meeting, pitching. Comment and share your thoughts/ what you find works/ your 'aha!' from this.

Plan the journey you want them to follow and then make it happen. Nothing wrong with having two calls to action, ten would be another matter though...
Tips for being more engaging?
Hi Nima, I think I could use some help in being more engaging while speaking. I tend to catch myself rambling a bit off-track when explaining things and was wondering what tips you may have regarding that?

Use notes. Dont apologise, you are there to give out information and having the notes will make you more confident and concise...
An Elevated Exercise!
Ok, so I detest the old 'elevator pitch' - I know it is there for a reason but I just find them so cringey, and so I constantly challenge myself to describe what I do in 4 WORDS: PROMOTIONAL CONTENT FOR COMEDIANS Do you think I need to shoosh it up a bit?!

In England we call them a lift - LIFT stands for Light hearted, Informative, Fascinating and True. Just be NORMAL!!! forget the formulae except to gett you rjuices flowing... For me it is this - I sit alongside business owners to help keep them on the business flight plan
