Hi All I am Sam, I started running back in 2012, ( age 43) I was overweight and I had always wanted to run but could never work it out. I would drive past people who were jogging and be so jeally and wish I knew their secret. Anyway I figured it out learnt to run and lost weight. I went on to run from 2012-2018 ( running anything from 1-160k runs and everything in between) Then my life went south and I stopped running from 2018- 2022 . At the point I missed running actually I missed running earlier and couldn’t get traction every time I tried to start again and gained weight again. 2022 I was like enough and somehow managed to get the momentum to keep running and have now built back to be able to run up to 50k again. I’m not fast and not as fast as I used to be. But I love running I love the feeling of doing it. I love trail running, road running , treadmill running. I love the running community. I love challenging myself . I love the running community. And when I say run any forward movement is running in my world not matter how fast or slow And that’s me in a nutshell shell
