How Do You Handle Stress and Pressures in Your Life?
Hi everyone. It's been a very busy week for me and I wasn't able to post much here. Today I thought would be interesting to explore how you do handle stress and pressures that occur in your day-to-day life? We all experience stress, challenges and things in life that are not always within our control - but we can take control of how we react to those things. Let's explore: Comment below and list 1-3 things that you use to combat stress, pressures, and outside stimuli in your day-to-day life? :)

My primary methods for beating stress include getting my 8 hours (or more) of rest, walks outdoors ideally in a forest, and a mixture of box breathing and cold water face splashing to help reset/calm down my parasympathetic nervous system. I know it’s cheating because it’s past my 3 but I also love spending time with my 2 cocker spaniels @Ana Bullard !! 🐶
Sunday Challenge
Happy Sunday everyone! I'm starting a new threat and category: Challenges. Here we'll have different challenges and Today, I challenge you to think about how to take advantage of this Sunday and what you can do today to prepare for the next week. The quote that came to mind was: “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.” by Sean Patrick Flanery. Take a moment, get in touch with yourself and your body, and list 1-3 things that you can do today that will serve your future. It might be more rest and self-care. It might be a walk in the nature. Maybe a coffee and conversation with a loved one. Or some time alone to get back in touch with yourself. To create some accountability, I invite you to share what you'll do today in the comments below. :) https://www.instagram.com/p/C3xKDBfo6lK/

Took the day off - Spent the day with my pups - we had lots of naps - stayed warm from the frigid cold, and played indoors!

@Jani Konjedic East Coast of Canada (Prince Edward Island) it was -14 C yesterday before wind chill was added (which makes it feel a lot cooler).
On Overwhelm and Anxiety
Overwhelm and anxiety are only momentary and most likely the result of what is happening in us or around us. Don’t give them too much attention because they will grow and become stronger. Feel and allow them to be there and they will go away on their own. It’s going to be okay: tomorrow will be better!

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or cbt has been instrumental for me to come up with strategies for dealing with anxiety or anxious thoughts. While everything you have said is true @Jani Konjedic anxiety is fleeting and will pass and is actually a waste of cognitive space in our minds; however; it is also a VERY natural reaction that for some people has been passed on genetically as a result of being evolutionary survivors - our cavepeople ancestors were just super good at avoiding those sabertooth tigers... now we have to retrain our genes to cope with the fact that your email notification on your cell phone isn't a sabertooth tiger - it's just a notification.... hopefully that makes sense to everyone!
Full Moon and Impact on Wellbeing and Mental Health
Over the last year or so, I started to notice how much astrological events affect me. In the past, I didn't pay much attention to astrology and I thought that it's all woo-woo and pseudo-science, that it doesn't make much sense, and that it's all in the head and mind. But then the last year or so, I started to notice how much movements and positions of celestial objects affect my energy, mental clarity, mental health, and overall well-being. I think that the more inner work you do and the more in touch you are with yourself, your body, mind, emotions, and spirit, the more you notice the external effects of environments and happening around you. Tomorrow, February 24th, there's a full moon in Virgo and the energies are supposed to be very strong. I feel them a lot! I haven't slept well the past couple of days, today I woke up fatigued and drained - both physically and mentally. Also, some bottled emotions that I didn't express came up. Although it's a bit frustrating, I try to give myself some grace and take advantage of this as an opportunity to do some inner work. This morning I did some intensive breathwork (link), then an activation meditation (link), and did some emotional releasing with screaming and shouting to Linkin Park music in my car on the way to work. I still don't feel the best, but I try to remind myself that it's going to be okay and that "This too shall pass." What about you? Do you feel the effects of astrological events on your well-being? How do you deal with it? 😊

To be honest it isn't something I have tracked enough to know about its impact on me - however I have read and seen a lot reported about the impact of the moon on things such as crime and hospitals - just not enough evidence collected yet on it's personal impact... it's interesting I know my one of my grandfather's tracked the lunar phases as well as the tides EVERY DAY in a notebook... he was a farmer so I guessed that it impacted something there - but he never spoke to me about it.
The Dance and Balance in Life
Some days you thrive, some days you just have to survive. The dance and balance in life is knowing what kind of day it is and how to approach it. Do you agree with this? How do you approach your day-to-day life? Let's start a discussion below 😊

For me it is all about my energy levels - some activities sap a lot of energy and so do some people (energy vampires - a term I picked up somewhere) - and some activities create energy and leave me feeling impowered. With a primary nature as an introvert - my go to for recharging is quiet time - reading or contemplating but lower energy. I do my best to listen to my body's cues - obviously you can't always have it all - but I try to get away when I can and recharge especially when the mood is particularly toxic.
