I’m Tanya (first syllable rhymes with can) From Northern California, but now in southern. I love to knit & listen to audiobooks. I enjoy walking & hiking. I really need more help with a home strength training plan. Grateful to be in this community as we each work towards healthy goals.

Wednesday Challenge!
Want to win something for working out? This week I wanted to push everyone to move a little bit. This workout is 8-minutes long and works the full body. Complete as many rounds as possible in 8-minutes: 8 Push ups 16 Air Squats You can do knee push ups, elevated push ups or wall push ups. Squat as low as you're comfortable going Post how many rounds and reps you get below to be entered into a drawing for a prize. I promise it'll cost more than a pencil and less than a Tesla :) Drawing will be held on Friday at Noon (EST)

Do You Have Time to Workout? I bet you don't...
It's the very first step forward... I spent two hours on a call with a good friend who was struggling with her health for a decade now. She broke down in front of me on this video call. A call that was scheduled for a half hour was going to last all night. She had tried everything but couldn't get it right. And when she did, it wouldn't last long. She lost weight and gained it back. She would workout for three weeks and then go three weeks without any movement. She would see progress and then take five steps back. Have you ever been stuck like that? I knew she needed to make progress somewhere. We decided to focus on moving more. That's when we then spent 30-minutes breaking down all the details in order for her to fit in 30-minutes of exercise into her day. It's something she didn't know she needed. And to be honest, it's something I take for granted. The small details that stand between us not moving and moving daily. Fast forward an entire year and she's still going. Still moving daily, and making great progress with her goals. She hasn't taken five steps back and she's extremely happy about it. If you struggle finding time for yourself, this is for you. I want to do a training to help you make time for yourself even though you seemingly have none. I want to build consistency for you so that you see long lasting results. If enough people comment below, we'll host a live training and post the video to help you out. We will call it, "How to make time to move" Comment, "Helpful" if you think a training would help you out

My problem is on the other end; I have a lot of unscheduled time and end up procrastinating. I get in a 30-45 minute walk daily, but now in menopause, have had changes to my weight and I know I need to add in strengthening too if I want to be able to avoid further weight gain. Have home weights and bands, but I haven’t found consistency yet. With steps, I tell myself that I need to get in 6k before noon so I can make my target by dinner time. I haven’t yet successfully applied that discipline to strength workouts.
21-Day Challenge?
I've been messaging with a lot of you to see how best to help you in your journey and one thing that comes up a lot is, "I need a group like this to start/keep moving" I was thinking of doing a 21-day challenge to help get everyone going! I can provide workouts, nutrition guidance and trainings, your job would be to do something (a workout, a nutrition habit or healthy habit) and we will keep track to try to be consistent You'll also get points for posting on the community page here, replying and liking others' post cause who doesn't like support and some cheerleading? I haven't figured out a prize just yet, but there will def be a prize Would this interest anyone? Vote below and if we get enough Yea votes then I'll start putting it all together

Thank you, looking forward to trying a few. I love five ingredient recipes and plan for them when I make a weekly meal plan for my Trader Joe’s run.

I love walking outdoors, and tending to my small vegetable garden. I need accountability to do my strength training.
