Huawei is on its way to get closer to the leaders in the field. Unfortunately there is still gap but huawei is still one of the real innovative manufacturers. Regarding the photonic chip industry, it has real effect in the job market. I have started seeing more and more photovoltaic research related jobs in German market Regarding the smart lollipop. I did not see any research backed information on their page. It is either an existing technology claimed by a startup to get investments or, it will not work :) (as intended or expected at least)
