Hello, I'm Chris 👋 Thank you so much for joining the Beer Scholar community! This is brand spankin' new, we're JUST getting going, you're one of the first to join. Here's what you need to know:
1) Complete your profile – please add a photo and a blurb about what got you into beer or what you do in the beer biz to your profile. This isn't an anonymous community!
2) Say hello to me and the crew! Where are you from? Do you work in beer, if so where? Are you here to learn more about beer for fun? Are you pursuing the Cicerone® exams? What level?
3) Don't be shy! Post any questions you have about beer or the Beer Scholar courses. Feel free to post links to beer resources you like. Start discussions about new things you've recently learned about beer or are seeking more info on.
4) The MINI COURSE that goes with the new Free Beer Scholar Study Guide for the Certified Cicerone® Exam is being created as we type! I will post each lesson as it is completed. I plan to have the complete course posted in the classroom by the end of April.
You're one of the first to join the community, so let's get the convo going!

IMPORTANT COMMUNITY RULES
- IF YOU RECEIVE A PROMO OR AD OR ARE HARASSED IN ANY WAY VIA DM PLEASE TAKE A SCREENSHOT AND SEND IT TO IT WILL BE POSTED IN A "POST OF SHAME" AND THE SENDER WILL BE BANNED. THE WHOLE POINT OF USING SKOOL IS TO ESCAPE THE TOXICITY & ADS ON OTHER PLATFORMS.
- The main rules ➡️ Be respectful. Don’t be a jerk. No personal insults. Use common sense.
- If you’re disrespectful or cause trouble, you’ll be banned immediately. We’re here to talk beer and build community around it, if you’re not here for that or you create drama you’ll get banned.
- Don’t spam the community with junk, ads, or promotions. Do not DM community members with marketing. Your own Facebook / Twitter / Insta community is the place for that!
- No NSFW stuff.
- Racism, gender or sexuality based harassment, etc., will get you banned instantly without debate or notification.
- Discussing politics is discouraged. I recognize there are critically important political issues in the beer industry around equal opportunity, diversity, harassment, disrespectful marketing, social media influencer status, and so on. I'm not dismissive of those issues, but this community is for learning about beer and how to crush the Cicerone® exams. I'm not interested in moderating political debates, regardless of my own opinions on the issues. If you want to argue, troll, or sh1tpost, go to Reddit, Fb, or Twitter!
If you have any concerns, questions, need a moderator to help you with a problem, or if you'd like to ask about promoting something here, please DM to inquire.
