Alternative agriculture plastic project

One of my side projects right now is to create or implement plastics from non-petroleum sources that perform at a similar level to current plastics. The ask is we are looking for funding sources outside the USDA, and CARE since we have identified them already, so if people have any suggestions on where to look or know of funding for agriculture/bioplastics I would love to know!
