What side of CFD are you on?

So, I really wanted to open a discussion regarding an application of CFD in the industry but before that I thought it would be important to get a better idea about the community..

So my question is: what are you mainly experienced/interested in regarding CFD? Are you on the code / theory/ software development side? or you are on the practical application of CFD using commercial CFD softwares where you are not much aware about what is happening at the back-end?

And do you think that one can have a mix of both? or no.

And now I am more curious because personally I had experience with commercial softwares only and never really got to understand the programming part.

Really looking to hear your thoughts.
