What if you record a video podcast?

There will be a youtube video and a podcast episode.

Is the original file linked to a CONTENT EVENT, or a youtube video content piece or a podcast content piece? Same questions for text that is used as a newsletter and blog post. What is the best structure for this? I understand that the final files should be separate content entries but what about the original? I am confused.
