Competitive Edge: Give πŸ”₯
When I was 23, I met career coach Barbara Deutsch when she visited the company at The Lost Colony on the Outer Banks of NC. After she talked to me for 5 minutes, she said, "Your competitive edge is giving. If you give, you'll be good to go.
I didn't know what she meant be a competitive edge, but what she said rang true.
As I was jogging this morning, I thought about Barbara and what she said, and I was like, dammit, she was right. And giving is what I want to encourage this community to do -- makes us all better.
One thing we'll have here is The Terrific Teachers in Our Community List -- a place where singers can find all the members of this community who are active teachers, chat with them, and find out how they can work together.
All these points of view and multifaceted perspectives πŸ’Ž -- boom!
Please tell me other resource lists and info treasure chests you'd like!
What I'm considering so far: access to scores and sheet music, reaching out to Appcompanist to check out a discount or bulk subscription code, recommended acting teachers, books, workshops, etc.
Let me know what would help most!
PS Barbara Deutsch turned out to be a dear friend who guided me through a lot of challenges. She was even at our wedding. πŸ’™ She'll be on the resource lists for sure.

I help music theatre performers sing great, be confident, and get to work with clear, simple, and wholehearted tools. πŸ’™πŸ”₯
