AI Affecting Dev Teams

I just read an article that stated AI would eliminate the junior developer position and cause companies to narrow down teams and focus on hiring senior developers. It further said that the future of developers would be considered editors tweaking the code that AI-generated. The code writers will be AI.

Do you think this is plausible? If so, how do we pivot to future-proof our careers?
