Something I learned from a mentor of mine was, that we are commonly programmed to accept our defects, “I’m only human…nobodies perfect” etc.
However it was brought to my attention, it has nothing to do with “perfection” but taking full accountability in WHAT you can CONTROL. He told me he often sees where he falls short, analyzes it, & CORRECTS IT. You must view yourself from both a third person perspective as well as internally for true self awareness
Success doesn’t come from wanting it or thinking you deserve it. It comes from doing what’s REQUIRED. Until you do, you won’t get what you’re after.
You have to OUTWORK the older version of chasing the same goal. It’s a competition with yourself—who’s better, faster, sharper?
It could take months, years, or forever if you keep falling off, losing focus, or stopping when it gets hard. Be UNDENIABLE. Open your eyes, see where you fall short, and close the gap daily.
The version of you now won’t get it. You have to change—drastically. Nothing changes until YOU do.
