Motivation
Motivation can get you fired up to take the first steps in achieving your goals
But…
Sometimes motivation alone cannot push you to achieve your goals.
I’m pretty sure you have watched hundreds and thousands of motivational videos and you’ve listened to motivational audios and podcasts
I could bet my left kidney that you follow motivational pages on social media and you watch their reels and posts every SINGLE day,
But…
You still haven’t gone to the gym
You still haven’t done a single push up
You still haven’t started that business
You haven’t even checked one item off your New Year's Resolution List.
I could motivate you right now, shout at you, get you fired up, boost your morale, and get you pumped, but after a while it will fade and you will return to your default state.
Discipline
Discipline simply means “doing what you’re supposed to do, whether you feel like it or not”.
The issue with Discipline is that there are some days that you actually don’t feel like doing it.
Sometimes there might actually be a genuine reason not to do something
You might be burnt out and tired; hence, you can’t go the gym
You might want to start a business, but you don't have money
You might want to start posting on social media, but you don't have a Camera
These are all pretty realistic situations where even discipline can't get you past.
But… What if i told you there are other ways to get unlimited energy and motivation…
Walk with me
This is exactly how i do it
- Desire/Passion
You need to have a genuine burning desire for whatever goal you want to achieve.
Most people just kinda want it.
it has to be a MUST
I MUST be in shape I MUST make money
I MUST always look good
You have to want it as bad as you want to breathe after holding your breath for a while.
In the avengers movie, Thanos sent his servants to gather the Infinity stones, but they failed so Thanos had to do it himself, not because they were not skilled enough, but because they didn't want it as bad as he did.
- Sacrifice
“If you are not willing to sacrifice for your goals, your goals become the sacrifice.”
It's easy to say “I’m going to sacrifice for my goals,” but when the time comes for us to sacrifice, we fold, we complain and say it's hard and give up or quit.
You need to be willing to sacrifice a lot, if not everything
Your Family
Friends
Parties
Hangouts
Sleep
It's going to be difficult, your friends will call you lame, your family will say different things about you.
You might have to live a boring lonely life for a while. But your future self will thank you for that.
“I’ve ignored my destiny once, i won't do that again, even for you”
~Thanos, right before he sacrificed his daughter to get the soul stone.
I’m not saying you should sacrifice your daughter lol But you might have to.
3.The list of Hate
This is quite controversial, and the positivity police will definitely come for my head.
but..
One of the mental tricks I use to trick my brain into getting fired up is to write down a list of hate.
I take a sticky note and write down the list of everyone i don't like or i think doesn't like me, hell i even write peoples name who i just want to prove a point to.
So when I get lazy or don't want to work, I just simply look at the list and now I have to prove them wrong, because if I don't succeed then they are not hating but just making an obvious observation, so i have to work.
I know some of you will say don't focus on the negativity and all those blah blah blah.
In my personal experience, those negative experiences
Anger
Pain Heartbreak Poverty
Will push you, to be Hungry, to seek Vengeance, to Conquer, as long as you focus, and channel it into the right cause.
4. Surround Yourself With Like Minded people
They say You’re sum of the 5 people you hang around.
If you hang with 5 weed smokers, there’s a high probability you start smoking
If you hang around 5 millionaires, there’s a high probability you become the 6th
If you hang out with 5 Hoes, there’s a high probability you become the 6th
So try to hang around the people who are where and what you want to be like.
I was able to improve faster in the gym and in business by working with a team that constantly motivated and pushed me to my limits.
