I just completed a round the world trip 🌎
Bangkok > Taiwan > LA > London > Qatar > Bangkok
Here’s what I learned on this two week adventure:
🔸 People are generally good
Everywhere I went people were friendly. They spoke of their life of work and family. What they do and what they enjoy.
A smile goes a long way to disarm even the skeptical.
🔸 Food portions in US restaurants are huge
I did not finish one meal in the US. Everything is bigger. Even the cheesecake.
More is not always better.
🔸 Everyone is doing their best to make a living
Work, holiday and family. They work out of necessity to provide for themselves and their family. To have a good time every now and then.
I'm fortunate to have a good time all the time.
🔸 Status is real
Rich, middle class, poor. People have clearly segmented into these groups. We show it through clothing, cars and where we hang out.
Although we say, we're equal, we signal we are not.
I had a dream of flying around the world as a kid. Today I can say, I have realized that dream.
✅ Bucket list item checked off.
