Trying to get a foot hole and learn w/o quitting every 5 minutes

Hello everyone

I'm Steven and I've been messing around with the guitar on and off for about 5 years but it seemed like I would always get super frustrated and then stop trying which really sucks because I want nothing more than to learn how to play the Electric Guitar and keep practicing and learning and then teach my 3 boys how to play in the beginning of 2022 I got and built my own kit Les Paul and when I painted it I put all 3 of my kids name in it and my hope is to learn and stop getting mad and quitting so I can teach the boys and pass the guitar I made down to them and hopefully they will do the same when they have children
