Hotwash/AAR
Since I know Ian is dying for someone to make a post I’ll go. How does everyone do there “hotwash” or after action? I really haven’t been a fan of the way they go at my department. It’s more like “no one got hurt, the fire went out” and it’s normally days after the incident. Sometimes it seems like you can’t make comments without hurting people’s feelings about the decisions they made. Which truly I don’t care about. And maybe that’s a topic or another post.
I’ve seen some companies do one literally on scene while it’s still fresh. I’ve been apart of some bigger “jobs” or incidents where I thought maybe company officers or chiefs should have been at the after action to give there perspective on how things went.
Would love to hear what everyone out there is doing!
Thanks
