I have always had issues to lose weight (love my mom's food 馃嚨馃嚢). When 2022 started, I had my (then) biggest weight and not gonna lie, it felt terrible having to climb my house stairs (I live on a 3rd floor, no elevator). My heart was beating like crazy and couldn't even breath properly. My wife told me that it was moment for a change and I went from eating 4 times a day and not doing exercise, to:
- Doing intermittent fasting (focusing on 2 major meals per day - lunch and dinner).
- Started drinking protein shakes when my sweet tooth attacked (added some fruits and it was yummy enough)
- Started exercising min. 4 times per week. I didn't have much gym knowledge, so I was focusing too much on cardio, which helped me a lot, but I think I should have focused more on weightlifting 馃挭馃徏.
Mistakes I made:
- Not eating enough protein (which lead to muscle loss)
- Running too much (I was running 7km per day + weight lifting some days)
- Exhausting myself until I felt I couldn't walk.
This mistakes then led me to a gym break (from Sept 2022 - Jan 2024 馃槄 - Is it a break anymore? 馃槀 ) In which I re-gained the weight and came back to a solid 212lb (96kg) - Max all time. (orange shirt pic - Won't lie, the smile fade away 馃檪)
Now, in 2024, I'm on a journey to lose it again, but without exhausting myself (being smart about it).
