Just a little Mid-Week Motivation:
After 500+ cold applications, I just broke into Big Tech — and no, I don’t attend a T5 or T10 school (MUCH lower, actually). Prior to this, I only had: 1. A Research internship at my school (which, for most schools, you can actually take part in pretty easily: either through cold-emailing a prof with demonstrated interest in their research publications, or via your school’s programs). 2. An internship at a small startup that I only got via networking (I’d recommend finding smaller startups, emailing the founder to chat about your excitement & experience with the product/that you have feedback, and giving them tangible feedback — really shows your passionate). As long as you do your part, it will work out. Keep moving forward — y’all got this. Don’t forget though: Y’all still gotta put in the work — but just know, it’ll pay off the in the end. All you need is a little faith in God, and you can do wonders. I can’t even begin to express how anxious/uncertain I felt through this entire process — but one of the things that kept me going was this “inexplicable” trust in God that it would work out. P.S. Huge shoutout to Micah! One of the main reasons that I was able to pass the interview was because of the EXACT STRUCTURE that Micah covered in his “Technical Interview Series”(https://youtu.be/8op2c008ph4?si=pKjUVy9JlDE8n93v). Not to mention his helpful Mock Interviews — check them out! Remember: If I can do it, y’all can do it too.
