High Ketone Levels Despite Not Having a High-Fat Intake?
My blood sugar levels are hovering around 90s mg/dl, but my ketone levels are surprisingly also high, ranging from 5-6 mmol/L.
From my understanding, the optimal ketone level is around 3 mmol/L.
My macro is protein 20%, carbs 14%, and fat 66%.
Although I know my carb intake is still too high, I'm puzzled by my high ketone levels despite not having a high-fat intake. I do not take any ketone supplement or MCT oil.
I'm still searching for answers and would greatly appreciate any insights or academic resources that you can share to help me better understand this, thank you.
