CALL YOUR BULLSH*T
We don’t pay enough attention to how much we stop ourselves from real change. We complain about things, we talk about wanting more money, wanting more from our kids, from life, we sit in regret of shattered dreams all because we don’t even realise that we are our own worst enemy.
We are constantly making excuses, giving beautiful and fair reasons why we cant commit, constantly contradicting what we want with the reason why we cant, usually in the same sentence. Or we are waiting for our external circumstances to change so we can feel better about ourselves.
SORRY TO SAY……good luck with that. I waited 36 years and finally realised I was the change I needed to see.
CHALLENGE:
1. Listen for contradictive statements in your daily conversations.
They are usually in the same sentence.
Ie. I would love to, but I can’t afford it
Ie. I know, I know, but I can’t its not the right time
2. Listen to your reasons, excuses or justifications.
3. What are your common repetitive complaints.
This is not about judging yourself, but we do need to start bringing awareness to the words we are using either in daily conversation or in the privacy of our own minds.
These words are connected to how we feel and this energy has a density that makes change impossible.
Please let’s have some fun with this, laugh at how many times you catch yourself. That’s also if you can catch yourself .
When I did this exercise I asked my son to help call me on my bullsh*t which he looooved doing……
Please share your experiences…..
