Digital Packaging As a Musician Part 1: CV/Resume
The music industry can feel like a house party that you weren't invited to. We’ve all seen those Hollywood films where the nerds climb over the fence to get a peek. There are definitely some things you can do from behind your computer screen to help strengthen your connections and gain greater visibility.
The four most useful pieces of digital information a musician can have are:
  • CV/Resume
  • Show Reel
  • A stellar email requesting to be considered for opportunities
  • Headshots
In this post we will be focusing on the CV/Resume. Attached is a guide on how to lay your performance CV out and some additional points to consider.
Is there some place to upload my completed CV?
Unlike the corporate world, there is nowhere to upload your CV. At best, this is printed out and given to someone at an audition or simply attached as an email attachment.
Any questions comment below and feel free to attach your CV for tailored feedback and ways to improve it!
