One of my favorite things about learning labs is the relationships that we get to make. It never escapes me that in this very moment, all over the world people are living there own lives— different time zones, different cultures, different languages; but one single act of kindness from across the globe seems to transcend all of that.
Barbara Hyde, I want to publicly acknowledge your kindness. A few times during our live sessions, Audrey, my daughter was with me. Without skipping a beat, Barbara messaged me and spoke wonderful things about little Audrey. This warmed my heart. Then the next thing I know, Barbara is sending us a package from Scotland. To my surprise, it’s a gift for Audrey.
We received it last night and well, look at the result of her kindness. Barbara sent her a beautiful Highland Cow!
She didn’t know this, but my wife for years has been saying that she’d love for us to own a living one. Last night as she opened the package, my wife wept tears of joy and said, “all along the cow I wanted wasn’t for me or my own happiness, it was for Audrey’s.”
Don’t know who will read this, but maybe if it’s you, I want to tell you that kindness really can make a difference and put a smile on someone’s face.
Cheers
