Negative reviews are good. Sound counter intuitive? It's not when you really think about it.
Surveys and studies show that people will select a company with 4.5 star reviews (some even as far down as 4.0) over someone with all 5 star reviews. Why?
1. Trust! Anyone with 100 5 star reviews may seem a bit sketchy as though they have purchased their reviews or aren't showing their negative reviews.
2. People know that things go wrong sometimes and you can't make everyone happy so they actively look for negative reviews so they can understand what your shortfalls may be. If they aren't THAT bad and you respond to them well then you have an in!
Don't be afraid of negative reviews, they serve their own purpose, ask ALL of your customers for reviews, not just the ones you think will give you positives.
Would love to know how you all think when a negative review is left for your business.
