Sales isn’t just about pitching your product—it’s about understanding your prospect’s pain points and showing them how you’re the solution they’ve been searching for.
Here are 3 things I focus on to consistently close more deals:
- Lead with the Problem, Not the Product ❓: Instead of diving into a product pitch, start by addressing your prospect’s pain points. When they feel understood, they’re more likely to see you as the solution. Example: “Are you struggling to generate consistent leads? Let me show you how I can help automate that process.”
- Follow Up Like a Pro 🔄: Most sales don’t happen after the first interaction. The money is in the follow-up. Studies show that it takes 5-7 touches to close a deal. Tip: Don’t send generic follow-ups. Customize each one based on the lead’s specific needs or the last conversation you had.
- Remove Risk for Your Prospect 🤝: If your prospect is on the fence, make it easy for them to say yes by removing as much risk as possible. This could mean offering a money-back guarantee, a free trial, or a low-risk entry point. Example: “Let’s start with a 30-day trial, and if you don’t see the results you’re looking for, no strings attached.”
Since focusing on these three areas, I’ve been able to:
- Close deals 30% faster.
- Build stronger relationships with clients who see me as a partner, not just a salesperson.
- Increase repeat business and referrals by delivering on my promises.
