TLDR: My best pick is Todd Monken. Good coach, good experience. Why you may ask? (tap and read)
He Led Georgias offense in 2 straight title winning seasons, currently OC of the Baltimore Ravens. Can run pistol and spread option offense (best fit outside of pro offense with current personnel. Makes a specialized playbook for his qb to lead and succeed.) Finally, wont take a huge pay raise to get him to come down and lead his own team. Has national championship experience, nfl experience, and has worked under a 2x superbowl coach and a 2x National championship coach.
Whether it’s this week or next, the Razorbacks need a new coach. I love pittman’s character and morals but not as a head coach. More as a cool grandpa.
Who should be the next coach of the hogs? It needs to be someone who can put Arkansas back in relevancy. At least back to that scary team who may not win the SEC, but can compete with any team in the nation and be a dark horse every few years.
IMO we have the donors, the bball program just snagged the biggest name in college hoops. Why cant the football program make a same move? Heres my list of candidates and my reasons why.
Big time hires (people who cost big bucks, probably out of reach but who knows):
John Gruden, Mike Norvell, Kliff Kingsbury, bill belicheck.
Solid Hires (good money and good results): Todd monken, butch jones, urban meyer.
What the university will probably consider: Bobby Petrino, Gus Malzhan, Joey Halzle, Barry Luney.
