Fencing for Pickleballers
When I work with people that got hurt playing Pickleball (Achilles Tears are rampant ) or want to get better. I always ask what type of training do you do or have you done? Unfortunately the training out there for racket sports is very elitist within Tennis clubs. But we can look at other sports that have similar foot patterns and create programming around it. Fencing to me is far superior to anything out there because it’s time tested for centuries. SO as you watch this video I want to bring you attention the small bounces this athlete maintains. That is the resilience of the tendons that will make you or break you, Tendons take time to adapt to exterior force not like muscle which adapt pretty quick. That’s why when a person lift weights they can get strong but still get hurt and the injuries are usually tendon related. But when we mold the tendons they generate the explosiveness that will set you apart from all the rest.
