New Beginnings
I got a divorce after 14 years of marriage. I told my nephew that I was getting a divorce and he said “new beginnings” that’s exactly what I accepted , a new beginning. I began to see things differently. I begin to see that chapter 14 had ended and that it was time for a new start, a new beginning. I didn’t know if I needed to start on chapter 15 of my new life or start over at chapter 1, either way I realized that I had a brand new start. A brand new slate. I began with new goals, short and long term. I returned to college, I got a new job, and I celebrated at each level, no matter how small the accomplishment was. A divorce is not the end but an opportunity for a new beginning.
