I'm a little later for my International friends today. π
Our theme, #ThursdayTraining
Prepping for a fitness podcast interview next week I'm considering what I've changed my mind over a couple of decades in the industry.
Most of my huge turnarounds have been in relation to food.
However to fit with today's theme: I think it's important to find a form of movement you LOVE or at least "could love" when you get better at it.
To achieve the level of consistency that brings results, there really needs to be love - or a decent level of enjoyment - because your discipline alone will not drag you through long term.
β‘Here's the helpful catch!β‘
I do believe you can "build the love" by focusing on the results... especially the immediate (non body composition) results...
β
So perhaps the fact that exercise gives you energy and helps you work more efficiently.
β
While also aiding sleep.
β
Absolutely you can love that, "I did well!" feeling when you finish a workout. Even if it's a 5 minute workout. Everything counts - especially so far as your reputation with yourself!
Today for me has just been a short river walk after weights and 2 hours of carrying 16 kilo boxes of Plant Positive Journals from one shed to the next yesterday. Lucky I'm #plantstrong !
What's your movement today?
