How To Introduce Yourself!
Hi Students - Welcome to the page!
As you familiarize yourself with the content and contributors, you're eventually going to want to introduce yourself. Also - you get points in the Summer Contest for a properly-formatted introduction.
So here's what you should include in your introduction:
(Name/Class/Location) Hi - I'm John Brown. I'm a test prep teacher in Frankfort, Illinois.
(Tell the community something about yourself) I attended Collegiate from 5th-12th grade and graduated in 1993.
I have a bachelor's degree from George Washington U and a master's degree from Ohio State.
I am married with three kids - Hannah (13), Abi (11) and Joshua (10). I am attaching a recent photo of the family!
I love golf and puzzles, especially the NYT Spelling Bee.
My favorite YouTube channel is the OG LoFi Girl channel, or maybe Josh Johnson the comedian.
(Score Goals) My score goals are to reach a perfect 36 in every section of the ACT (English/Math/Reading/Science) by the September test.
For the SAT, I want to score a perfect 1600 (800 RW, 800 Math) on the October test.
If I was still in high school I would want my scores to be high enough to report to schools like Harvard and Stanford and at least be competitive in those environments.
(Strongest/Weakest Areas) My strongest areas are English and science - I can contribute most to the community in these areas.
My weakest areas are probably math and reading - I will seek the help of the community in these areas the most.
(Anything else you want to add) I really do enjoy helping high school students get better, and I want to be able to make it easier for you to help each other as well! Ask me anything!!!
**********
If your introduction includes ALL of these elements, you will receive 10 points and 5 entries into the final drawing! You will know this when I reply "+25" in the comments of your intro.
Let me know if you have any questions about this intro!!
