Hey all, my name is Jake. I have been educating myself in this field for quite some time now, and in the foundation stages of my first agency. I plan on doing lead generation for home improvement businesses.
I’ve been in insurance telesales for a little over 6 months now, and with a bunch of hours spent cold calling I decided to take matters into my own hands and control my book of business.
I started with basic form fill FB ads, which I quickly found out were AWFUL leads; dead numbers, “didn’t fill that out”, “thats not me”.
Frustrated and defeated, I created a lead magnet from scratch, created a proper sales funnel with the GHL crm we have access to, and with the experience I learned initially from Facebook ads I was able to use a successful copy from the testing I did.
I was ready, and eager to see results.
I was tired of spending upwards of $1,000 on leads who never opted in and were BEYOND cold.
I woke up to see my CRM had been restricted… there goes all the work and effort I had been putting in.
I had a sit down meeting with my boss, explained
My situation and how it would be a win win.
If I make money, you make money. It’s a no brainer, so I thought.
He told me, “You’re not a marketer, you need to focus on sales, buy more leads.”
Meanwhile I had a proof of concept, a recommendation that had saved them 40% of their adspend prior, and I’m one semester away from my MARKETING degree.
I scoffed, and immediately signed up for every SMMA/DMA course I could find to learn all I could.
Which led me to here..
I’m hurting on capital, but I know I have the ability to make multiple six figures with this business model. I’m determined and willing to make this work.
Don’t let anyone put you in a box, and tell you what you are or aren’t. Trust your gut, and nothing else.
I’ll look back at this moment 6 months from now, out of debt and out of doubt.
I hope whoever is reading this will do the same. I’ll meet you at the top🫡
