As we've talked about before, pursuing a career in professional football can be costly and may take years to start earning income you can live off of.

Finding the right club often requires luck and the right opportunity.

Having a financial cushion can increase your chances of signing with a good team, as it reduces the pressure on the team to support you, making you a more attractive asset.

Additionally, having multiple income streams and a side hustle can help alleviate financial stress while you focus on building your football career.

My Story:

I started my business online about 8 years ago, and within 4 years, I was lucky enough to create a 6 figure income online, along with playing football. This is not to brag. This is to tell you, it's possible to do it. You know your boy Ricky's famous line, "anything is possible when you put your mind to it!"

Here are a couple of the ways I have found to make multiple streams of income while playing football:

1. Virtual Assistant:

-Offer organizational and administrative skills as a virtual assistant.

-You can help businesses or entrepreneurs with tasks like email management, scheduling, social media management, and customer support.

-This is “easy” and can be done from anywhere (which is your goal).

2. Remote Customer Service Representative:

-Many companies hire remote customer service representatives to handle inquiries and support via phone, email, or live chat.

-This role often offers flexible hours and can be done from anywhere with an internet connection.

3. Online Tutoring:

-If you enjoy a particular subject, you should consider becoming an online tutor.

-One of my friends first did this when he went to Germany to chase the dream of becoming a pro.

-He did it for about 3 years until he was earning enough money from football to live off of.

-Platforms like VIP Kid, Tutor.com, and Chegg Tutors connect tutors with students seeking help in various subjects, ranging from academic subjects to test preparation and language learning.

4. Drop Servicing:

-I’m sure you’ve heard of drop shipping…it’s what all the “cool kids” are doing nowadays ;)

-Similar to drop shipping, drop servicing involves offering services instead of physical products.

-You act as a middleman, outsourcing tasks such as graphic design, writing, or digital marketing to freelancers and charging clients a higher rate.
