People seem eager and happy to fast as if they’re excited to hear a message from God. Then they began to ask why has my fasting went unnoticed. BUT when you fast, your heart posture isn’t pure. It’s like the people are saying “Look Lord at what I’m doing for you.” They are humbling themselves with ill intentions. We should humble ourselves before the Lord everyday. We should deny ourselves daily. Fasting was made to set us free to break the yoke. When we fast, it must be done peacefully with intentions on helping others. If we fast properly, God is faithful to give us our true desires and the inheritance of Jacob.
