Missing lips

I tried something a little different today. I saw one with safety pins that inspired me but realised I'd made the gap way too wide so grabbed some sewing pins to pull the look together 😅

I used wax attached with prosaide (testing for a friend's makeup as she won't be able to remove spirit gum after her event), the applied liquid latex over the wax to make it more sturdy. The latex went a bit crumbly though but I was able to cover that with a fake blood.

Would love some feedback on how to improve this type of look.
