Networking With Local Shops
Working with companies around you is truly a blessing. Sending and receiving work is the core of the automotive industry. Whether you're working with mechanics, painters, or dealerships, those connections are key.
Especially if you need to build your portfolio of work, having an influx in vehicles you're working on will make it much easier to grow your social presence.
Do not focus on getting paid your normal rate with these types of jobs, from our experience, most of these jobs will be cheaper, but by all means, shoot for the stars and feel out each and every connection, some will be willing to pay more than others.
The best way to go about this is researching local automotive shops, it does not matter what type of work they do, they just need to have cars for you to work on.
