seeking musical accountability buddy
HELLO FELLOW VOYAGERS.
I'm looking for a musical accountability buddy. I'm a songwriter and singer and I'm trying to equip myself with more technical musical skills. Ear training is currently my main priority. I'm also trying to learn guitar and working my way through a composition book. I write a song every day.
With regards to ear training, I've gotten as far as naming the tonic in chord progressions in pop songs. I've found so far that I've pretty much immediately gotten the hang of each activity. The issue I'm currently having is with being consistent. I have a plethora of interests (I'm a visual artist by training) and I get distracted very easily.
What accountability would look like ideally is checking in with each other daily to talk about the progress we've made each day and concrete plans we have moving forward. I would also love to schedule working sessions for further accountability. I'm looking for someone who is at a similar place or further along in their musical journey than I am.
