Fruit Trees for Self Sufficiency
Could growing MASSIVE Asian pears like this one, make you feel a little more comfortable...knowing where your food comes from? This started with a little twig grafted to a wild bradford pear seedling and in two years it is LOADED with softball sized pears.

Fruit Trees for Self Sufficiency
Fall is Time for Gathering Tree Seed
We have been busy here gathering hickory nuts, pawpaw, peach and other tree seeds to stratify and grow over the winter. Are you gathering seedstock for your homestead as well? If so, what goodies have you acquired?
